Who We Are

Entrepreneurial by Nature, Sustainable by Choice
At Aarhus Protein, we are dedicated to developing plant-based proteins for food and feed—the proteins of the future. As global demand for sustainable nutrition grows, we strive to make climate-friendly, plant-based proteins widely accessible through innovation and responsible production.
Our expertise lies in processing high-quality legume proteins, but we are always exploring new opportunities—such as fiber extraction from wheat straw, turning agricultural by-products into valuable ingredients.
Sustainability is at our core—not just in what we produce, but in how we produce it. With CO₂-neutral energy from our biomass steam boiler, we ensure that our commitment to the environment extends beyond our ingredients and into every part of our operations.
Serious About Sustainability? So Are We.
Committed to Sustainability and Reliability
At Aarhus Protein, sustainability isn’t just a goal—it’s a commitment. In 2022, we took a major step by implementing a 5 MW, 13-bar biomass steam boiler, ensuring both operational reliability and a 100% CO₂-neutral process when supplemented with green power certificates. This investment reflects our dedication to reducing environmental impact while maintaining the highest production standards.
