Energy Audit

At Aarhus Protein, we are committed to reducing our energy consumption and CO₂ footprint – both as part of our sustainability strategy and to ensure a competitive and future-proof production setup.

We regularly carry out energy audits, and due to new legislation, documentation requirements now also apply to smaller companies such as Aarhus Protein A/S. In this context, a comprehensive energy and climate audit of our factory operations has been conducted in collaboration with Viegand & Maagøe.

On 5 November 2025, the Danish Energy Agency approved our audit report and the associated action plan, which includes the following initiatives:

• Replacement of lighting with LED fixtures in offices and workshops to ensure lower electricity consumption and improved energy efficiency.

• Installation of continuous monitoring for potential leaks in the factory’s compressed air system to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.

Both initiatives have been launched and are expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2026.
