Shaping the future of food and feedstuff by transforming high protein greens into nutritious, sustainable ingredients for high-quality food and feed.
Sustainable Protein Solutions
The global demand for alternative proteins is rising rapidly due to population growth, increased focus on health and lifestyle, and the urgent need to address climate change. To meet this challenge, more plant-based proteins are required - for both food and feed applications.
At Aarhus Protein, we develop and manufacture high-quality plant proteins that contribute to more sustainable food solutions. Our products offer a significantly lower carbon footprint compared to traditional meat and dairy proteins, helping to tackle today’s climate challenges while supporting a greener future.
Greener solutions for global industries
Aarhus Protein specializes in contract manufacturing of plant-based proteins and materials, offering extensive expertise and significant production capacity. Our high-quality proteins are widely used by international food ingredient producers in meat alternatives, dietary supplements, bakery products, and high-protein bars - contributing to more sustainable and eco-friendly food solutions.
In the feed industry, our plant-based proteins are used in various formulations for fish and farm animals. Aarhus Protein has expanded its processing capabilities to also include fiber from straw residues, further reinforcing our commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Sustainable Processing of Peas & Faba Beans
At Aarhus Protein, we process a wide range of agricultural crops, with a strong focus on faba beans and peas—our most significant raw materials. These legumes are transformed into high-quality, climate-friendly ingredients for food and feed.
We source predominantly from fields in Denmark, the Baltics, and Northern Europe.
Both faba beans and peas are rich in protein and offer a sustainable alternative to meat and dairy proteins. Beyond their lower carbon footprint, they are also more eco-friendly to cultivate than traditional crops like wheat, barley, and rapeseed.
